These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the Individuate.me website and application (“the Service”), operated by 4xxi Software Ltd. (“we”, “us”, “our”).

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

Individuate.me is an AI-powered dream interpretation tool. Users describe their dreams through chat-based sessions, and our system uses artificial intelligence to analyse dream content through the lens of Jungian psychology, identifying symbols, archetypes, and psychological themes.

The Service offers two interpretation modes: a quick interpretation that provides an immediate analysis, and a guided step-by-step interpretation that explores your dream in greater depth through interactive dialogue.

Individuate.me does not provide psychological advice, therapy, counselling, diagnosis, or any form of clinical or professional service.

The Service is a self-exploration and entertainment tool. It is designed for personal curiosity and as a starting point for self-reflection — not for addressing psychological issues or making decisions about mental health treatment.

Specifically:

• The analysis is generated by AI (Large Language Models) and has not been independently validated as a scientific instrument.
• Dream interpretations are theoretically motivated by Jungian psychology but should not be interpreted as psychological diagnoses or clinical assessments.
• AI-generated content involves creative synthesis that goes beyond established dream analysis frameworks. It is illustrative, not diagnostic.
• If you are experiencing psychological distress, please consult a qualified mental health professional. Do not use Individuate.me as a substitute for professional care.

All dream analyses, symbol interpretations, and psychological insights are generated by artificial intelligence — specifically, Large Language Models provided by third-party services. We currently use:

• OpenAI (US-based)
• Anthropic (US-based)

Your dream content is sent to these providers for processing. Your name and email address are not sent to AI providers. We do not use your data to train AI models.

AI-generated content may contain inaccuracies, misinterpretations, or errors. We make no warranty as to the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content. Different analyses of the same dream may produce different results.

We may change AI providers at any time. This will be reflected in our Privacy Policy.

You retain ownership of the dream descriptions and messages you provide during analysis sessions. By using the Service, you grant us a limited licence to process your content through our analysis pipeline (including sending it to AI providers) for the purpose of generating your dream interpretation.

We do not publish, share, or make your dream content or interpretations available to other users.

Individuate.me operates on a pay-as-you-go credit system. Key aspects:

• Credit purchases are processed through Stripe. We do not store your payment card details. Stripe acts as an independent data controller for payment processing.
• Credits do not expire. Purchased credits remain in your account indefinitely until used.
• Credit deductions are calculated based on actual AI token usage for each interaction. We store transaction records of credit purchases and usage for accounting purposes.
• Refunds: Unused credits may be refunded within 14 days of purchase by contacting us at [email protected]. Credits that have been used are non-refundable.

The Service requires sign-in to use dream interpretation features. Authentication is handled through our centralised authentication service.

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must not share your account with others.

When using the Service, you agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose.
• Attempt to interfere with the Service's operation or security.
• Use automated tools, bots, or scripts to access the Service without our permission.
• Misrepresent Individuate.me results as professional psychological assessments, diagnoses, or clinical evaluations.

The Service is intended for users aged 18 and over. By using the Service, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.

The Service, including its design, code, prompts, analysis methodology, and original content, is owned by 4xxi Software Ltd. and is protected by copyright under UK law.

You may not reproduce, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit the Service, its analysis methodology, or its content without prior written permission.

The Service and its content are provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

• The Service will be available uninterrupted or error-free.
• Dream analyses will be accurate, complete, scientifically valid, or consistent across multiple sessions.
• Any errors or defects will be corrected.
• The Service is suitable for any particular purpose, including any psychological, clinical, therapeutic, or diagnostic purpose.

To the fullest extent permitted by the laws of England and Wales, 4xxi Software Ltd., its directors, employees, and contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. This includes, without limitation, any damages arising from reliance on dream analysis results for psychological, medical, or personal decisions.

Our total aggregate liability to you for all claims arising out of or in connection with the Service shall not exceed the total amount paid by you to us for the Service in the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim. If you have not paid us any fees, our maximum aggregate liability to you shall be ten pounds sterling (£10).

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated “last updated” date. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
